large format drawings

Due to the limits of human motoric skills, feather drawings are relatively small. My initial idea was to put these drawings into other dimensions in order to observe the influence on the viewer. They consist out of lines and strokes, the rich palette of greys is only created through hatching. I worked with black ink, brushes and bamboo pens. Through the big scale, the drawing gets a surprising and monumental effect. Therefore, this aspect became one of my main means of expression in many of my series. That is how “Linear meters audience“, “Tanz.ende“ and “Säulen“ came into being.
